Reclaimed wood is wood that has been salvaged or repurposed from historic barns, factories, buildings, and more. The wood used to build these historic structures was often old growth timber, or timber that was grown and harvested from virgin forests.  Old growth timber is typically stronger and harder than the wood of today.

Reclaimed wood can be used for many purposes. Some of the more common uses for reclaimed wood include flooring, paneling, furniture, and decor. Given it’s one-of-a-kind nature and unique look, reclaimed wood can add so much character to an otherwise ordinary flooring project or piece of furniture.

Reclaimed wood is often kiln-dried to remove any excess moisture in the wood and to kill any insects that may be living in the wood. Reclaimed wood can also be treated with an insecticide to kill insects that could be living in the wood. We can have your material kiln-dried 0r treated if you desire.

AMWood is located in Elliottsburg, Pennsylvania (Perry County). We are about 40 minutes north of Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, and Carlisle.

We source our reclaimed lumber locally in Central Pennsylvania and from across the country.

We offer remilled, distressed, original rough sawn, hit skip, wire brushed, or fresh band sawn reclaimed wood.

Orders/items can be picked up at our shop in Elliottsburg, PA. We also offer delivery within a 50 mile radius (fees apply). If you are out of the area and the order needs to be shipped, fees will be based on the size of the shipment and the shipment destination.
